Arnold Arboretum 4/23

Expecting rain but only some drizzle off and on for the 2nd Saturday walk in the Arnold Arboretum covering sections of Hemlock Hill, Bussey Brook Meadow and the conifer section of the grounds. Marc Devokaitis and I had five birders who saw mostly common birds but good looks at some including a robin making a nest and a Red-tailed Hawk being harassed by jays as well as a Red-breasted Nuthatch, House Finch, Ruby-crowned Kinglet and a fly-over Great Blue Heron. Next Saturday 4/30 we will return to the main gate, expecting some new migrants by then. Today's list:
